Cable Installations

At LazerNetworks, we pride ourselves on our versatility and expertise in a range of cabling methods tailored to the diverse needs of our clients. Our skilled field engineers and subcontractors are adept at both underground and overhead cabling installations, ensuring a robust and reliable network infrastructure.

Test Rod & Rope: Design Feasibility Check

The Test, Rod, and Rope exercise is a vital preliminary check conducted by our field engineers to assess and prepare the underground ducts for cable installation. This task encompasses an initial assessment to identify any blockages or damages within the ducts, using specialised rodding equipment and pulling a rope through the clear ducts to serve as a guide for the subsequent cable installation. This thorough check ensures the feasibility and integrity of the proposed network design, laying a solid foundation for the installation process. At LazerNetworks, meticulous execution of the Test, Rod, and Rope process is paramount in ensuring the ensuing cabling installation is optimally positioned for success, aligning with client specifications and industry standards.

Cable Pulling:

Following the successful completion of the Test, Rod, and Rope: Network Feasibility Checks, the next crucial step in our installation process is the cable installation. This involves pulling the fibre cables through the prepared underground ducts either manually by hand or using an assist winch, depending on the duct's length and complexity.

Manual Pulling:

For shorter or less complex duct routes, our skilled field engineers perform the cable pulling manually. With a keen eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to preserving the integrity of the cable, the manual pulling method ensures a precise and secure installation.

Assist Winch Pulling:

For longer or more complex duct routes, an assist winch is employed to pull the cables through. The use of an assist winch ensures a smooth, efficient, and controlled cable pulling process, mitigating the risk of cable damage and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Air Blown Cabling:

Utilising cutting-edge air blown technology, we facilitate rapid and efficient cable installations. This method minimises disruption, and is ideal for complex or congested environments, ensuring a streamlined installation process.

Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) Installations:

Skilled in PIA installations, we leverage existing infrastructure to expedite the cabling process, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely project completion. Our meticulous planning and execution ensure your network is optimally positioned for superior connectivity.

Overhead Cabling Method on Telegraph Poles

We excel in extending fibre network installations overhead using telegraph poles to facilitate robust aerial connections. Our methodical approach, coupled with stringent safety protocols, ensures seamless and reliable network installations.

Ladder Work:

Our accredited engineers employ ladders for precise access to telegraph poles, ensuring meticulous and secure cable installations whilst adhering to the highest safety standards.

MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms):

We routinely utilise MEWPs to expedite the installation process. By providing a safe, elevated platform, MEWPs enable our engineers to efficiently conduct the cable installations, significantly enhancing the pace of project completion without compromising on quality.

Accredited Engineers:

Our field engineers are fully accredited to undertake overhead installations, holding the requisite certifications and a wealth of experience. Their expertise ensures every overhead cabling project is executed to the highest industry standards, delivering reliable and enduring network connectivity.

Our comprehensive understanding of different cabling methods, coupled with our commitment to excellence, positions us as the preferred choice for clients seeking reliable and efficient fibre network infrastructure builds.
